But the installer that you download, and includes the pdb files, is only
4.4Mb ... and the zip is 15Mb.
And when something crashes and you need the pdg files, it's much much easier
to re-install things with the installer you already downloaded, and install
them on top of the rest, than to download a zipfile and to find out where to
put the files...

As a person downloading the installer, I would appreciate if the
installer would not even contain the pdbs. Looking at the 'documents &
files' section reveals, that there is already a separate download for
the debug symbols. So anyone who wants them can get them.
