client performance comparison cvs - svn on windows?

hi,

has anybody experience with performance of cvs vs. svn client on windows?

our impression is that svn-client performance on unix/linux is quite ok, but on windows it feels
somehow slow (maybe caused by the fact, that windows filesystem does not handle a lot of small
files very well?).

but nobody of us has comparative numbers with cvs ...
