I say toss 'em by default. MBK's data points convinced me. In our
instance at apache.org, we'd have to turn off the BDB logs because of the
sheer volume of read-only transactions we'd expect. (No way to clean the
logs if everyone is doing read-only operations.)

And, I'd agree with Greg that deltification should occur by default, too.
But, that ship seems to have sailed. -- justin
