FWIW, I have a "make check" failure with r7852 and db 4.2.50 (the libtool
I used is 1.4.3 ;-)

Running make check (as root) with r7852:

Running all tests in config-test...success
Running all tests in diff-diff3-test...success
.
.
Running all tests in run-repos-tests.py...success
Running all tests in getopt_tests.py...success
Running all tests in basic_tests.py...FAILURE
Running all tests in commit_tests.py...FAILURE
Running all tests in update_tests.py...FAILURE
.
.
At least one test FAILED, checking /usr/src/svn-rel/subversion-test/
tests.log
FAIL: basic_tests.py 1: basic checkout of a wc
FAIL: basic_tests.py 2: basic status command
FAIL: basic_tests.py 3: basic commit command
FAIL: basic_tests.py 4: basic update command
.
.

Everything is made with the same autotools and compiler.

I have the tests.log file if someone are interested.
