RE: Is BDB 4.1.25 okay?

Hi...

Just a bit busy, so I did not respond till now... It was me having this
problem....
I got serious problem on my dual cpu machine with BDB 4.1.25, so I switched
back to BDB 4.0.14.

Eric,

I recall that a few weeks ago there was some doubt about the proper
operation of db 4.1.xx (don't remember xx) on linux SMP machines.

You may want to check that thread and ensure/check that you won't / don't
have the same problems.

      Ah, I remember having this problem before! How many times will it
      take until
      I remember? Would this be a candidate for the intstallation
      instructions, or
      is it just me that has this problem?

      I set LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.1/lib
      and then did ./configure --with-berkeley-db=/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.1

      --with-dbm=db4

      and it seems happy! Currenting chugging through 'make'. :)
