I understand that, and agree with you 100%, but I did/do not understand why
installation of new born svn will render my current working copy
useless. That was my point.

It would be case that I am building/cross compiling for some different
arch or system, or what ever, and had planned use my old svn copy
after installing that very new client.

Moreover this was 'heads up mail', at least for Branko, that autotester
will need some babysitting when crossing wc revision to r7674.
