Ok, but the EOL character caused problems are sometimes very hard to
track, as they seems to point files where are anything visible problems.

Before upgrading gcc could you try to build the new javahl version from
the trunk? (I would really be interested in to know whether patch + eol
changes help javahl to build in your environment)
