If found a couple of reports in the user mailing list as well... but here is
what I do:

1) Create ASP.NET project in VS.NET 2003
2) Put it under Subversion control
3) Try to start VS.NET again and open the project
4) Boom.

What happends is that VS.NET attempts to synchronize with "c:\Documents and
Settings\<you>\VSWebCache", and that always fails if you have a directory
name that starts with a period.

Try it, but do not attempt to create the directory name in the file
explorer. It's impossible :-)
