Yes, I have done so and I have built RPMS from there and I did earlier
install them, however in order to install them I had to first uninstall
subversion and once subversion was uninstalled I then had problems
building a new subversion...

OK, I think I'll just wait now... since Shamim Islam's solution
looks somewhat daunting...
