I type all my commands in lowercase unless absolutely draconianly force.

I was relieved when even though it's not documented, subversion was
versatile enough to accept lowercase commands.

If all the keywords are case insensitive, isn't it easier to fix the
documentation to note that you can use lowercase in one location and
then proceed to document in upper case for CVS converts?

That'll be $0.02 please. :-D
