Re: Mandrake RPMs for Subversion (was: Ok. I'm at a loss on how to proceed here)

Benjamin, THANK YOU.

Ben

I have a Mandrake spec file that I am using based on the previous
maintainer.

It is now more auto-generated than ever, based on the current release
directory.

How do you want to proceed?

Currently, I can compile 0.29.0 w/ no intervention, right down to the
SRPM, including path changes etc. to all necessary files in the tarball.

I would like to make the auto-generated spec file as close to the one
you are using as possible, or meet what ever your requirements are.

This way, should someone roll their own release from the Subversion
sources, it will still come out the same.

Also, this whole process may ease your pain, as the Make file in the
Subversion tree for the mandrake9.1 directory right now, has many
options for setting the desired type of RPM to be created.

Let me know what you think. I don't know if you're part of the
subversion-developers list or not. If not, we can talk offline.

I would like to put our work together so it comes out as a consistent
whole.
