Here's another, possibly unrelated (?) problem:

Using trunk HEAD code, I'm now trying to a do a *single* checkout of
http://localhost/.../trunk, and I've got another hang.

   * the client has been stuck for 4 minutes, just sitting there:

         [...]
         A wc1/notes/line-endings-and-keywords.txt
         A wc1/notes/svndiff
         A wc1/notes/logo
         A wc1/notes/logo/subversion_logo.png

   * and the access_log says:

        127.0.0.1 - - [29/Aug/2003:09:25:10 -0500] "GET
         /svn/bigrepos/!svn/ver/3124/trunk/notes/logo/subversion_logo.eps.gz
         HTTP/1.1" 200 105590

Granted, that file is a bit bigger than most, but still only 100K.

Something is very, very wrong. Maybe it's just my redhat9 box, not
sure.
