Allow me to rephrase.

Subversion has been self-hosting for well over a year now, and
while there *has* been some downtime caused by the administrators
screwing up the binary linkage during an upgrade cycle, and while
there *are* some bits of non-versioned meta-information that we
don't currently store (but which are important for Tom Lord's
personal--and IMO, suspect--agenda for Subversion), our repository
has never suffered a scenario whereby someone committed changes to
versioned resources in the repository which were lost.

'Zat make you feel all warm and squooshy inside, Tom? Hey, I know,
why don't you take this opportunity to push Arch on the guy using the
Subversion development list? It's never stopped you before.
