RE: production ready?

Ok.. So am I better of using CVS until 1.0 ships, or do you feel that a
pre-release subversion build is better than the current release of cvs?

Thanks for your help...and humor!

2 or 3 months won't yield Subversion 1.0, I am confident of that.

It'd be a shame to lose your interest over the matter of a version
number, but I understand how those fears come into play. If it's any
comfort, Subversion has been self-hosting (that is, the code to
Subversion has been stored in Subversion itself) for well over a year
now, and to date we've never suffered any lossage. There are
certainly still bugs (as is demonstrated by our healthy Issues website
page), but generally speaking, the software is quite useful for
typical versioning operations.

Yes, dancing comes at an additional fee, but if you can get your boss
to drop those "version number blinders", I'd be willing to waive that
cost. :-)
