Diff of binary files

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to Subversion, been using it a couple of months but not
heavily. I've just started using it for a big project at work, which was
previously half-CVS and half-unversioned. We're using svn 0.17.1.

We're having a problem with binary files, which seems to be the same one
described here:

  http://www.contactor.se/~dast/svn/archive-2002-11/0696.shtml

i.e. svnlook diff (or in my case, svn diff) fails if a binary file has
changed.

Is this still a problem, and if so is anyone willing to fix it? Apologies
if it's already been fixed, but I've installed svn from source once
already and am reluctant to do it again =(

On a related note, would it be possible to sort the mailing list archive
search results by date? Makes it very difficult for me to see if anyone's
posted messages about this after the thread I found above.

Cheers, Chris.
