 important features of machinesync.

Yes, Subversion has atomic commits, each changeset has a name, and has
O(1) branching.

 So my question is: Are subversion going to include those features or
 should I continue to develop my own system?

Perhaps you should read the Subversion design document, or the
Subversion book. Both are in the file-sharing area of the Subversion
web site.
