 Yah. See Issue #1118. But I'm pretty sure now my solution is
 buuu-uh-usted. And yours is goo-oo-oodness.

And I should apologize for misleading CMike earlier today :-), which
probably caused him to go down the cdata path. I had a faulty
understanding of XML attribute escaping. But I'm all better now,
really.
