What does the apache error log say?

What versions of client/server are you using?

Hey -- that error looks similar to what Garrett Wilson just posted in
issue 1116 (and also posted to the dev list). Zack, could it be the
 same?

It doesn't seem like the same problem to me, because the only similar
error is that I get a svn: PROPFIND of /: 405 Method Not Allowed and
Garrett gets a svn: PROPFIND of /: 403 Forbidden. But even those are
not identical.

My svn client is Debian package 0.16.0-1 from the Debian package. No
modification at all. The server is maintained by someone else, and I
believe is at revision 4154, compiled by hand. I don't have access to
the apache logs right now, though I may be able to get them. If I knew
what to look for, I could ask the admin to grep around in them.
