Yes, but not how you meant. It is an epidemic of applications, not
Subversion users.

I agree. As a user, I find it very annoying that I have to visually
search through over 60 application configuration directories in my home
directory to find *my* 15 directories.

Perhaps Subversion can start a new trend of putting application
configuration files and directories in one appropriately named
directory. For example,

   /
   +- home
   | +- moloney
   | | +- .app-configs
   | | | +- .bash
   | | | +- .emacs
   | | | +- .gconf
   | | | +- .gimp
   | | | +- .gnome
   | | | +- .ssh
   | | | +- .subversion
   | | | +- .xmms
   | | +- docs
   | | +- misc
   | | +- samba
   | | +- sandbox

Instead of cluttering up the my home directory, applications can clutter
up one specific directory and leave the rest alone unless specifically
told to by me (Save file, svn co, etc.)
