Have you looked at using <cmdsynopsis> for documenting these? There are
a bunch of elements for describing command syntax is detail. If you also
use <refentry> for documenting commands, there is XSLT in docbook-xsl to
give you man page output - I use this in neon to good effect. (attached
the refentry I use for "neon-config" for example).
