Yup, that's the way to do it.

Some chapter files have a notice at the top that says

   <!-- This chapter is slated for mass rewriting. If you're adding
        content or fixing things, please understand that your changes,
        while certainly influencing the resultant chapter, might
        themselves get lost in the mix. -->

If some of your feedback is about those chapters, you might want to
defer those portions until after the rewrite, then reread.
