Actually, I have been. I'm working on supporting branching between cvs,
vss and p4 (the three current backends other than revml). All of that
work is taking place in the perforce repository and has not generated a
release yet, though it will come to fruition soon, I hope.

I posted to this list a while ago to see if anyone wanted to work on a
svn backend, but there's not much interest, it seems, only had one other
person mention it.

I'm still quite willing to help on it, at least with better
documentation and guidance.

One quick note: XML is not required for the operation of VCP unless you
want to read or write RevML files; RevML is a format it can read or
write like any repository and RevML is used extensively in the VCP test
suite.
