oops, i didn't see that Faried had CC'd the list with this comment
when i replied to him. i am planning on making this change for the
next version of the port (for the next snapshot of svn). there's
little point in making it for the current version, since the next
snapshot is so soon and we already missed the ports freeze for freebsd
4.6.
