Yeah, now that we're getting nearer a 1.0 release this summer, we were
tired of misleading newbies coming to the website. :-)

Those two features *could* make it in by 1.0, but at this point it's
not likely we have time to finish them, unless a new army of
volunteers comes out of nowhere. My guess is that they'll probably be
implemented soon afterwards, like in 1.1.

Certainly, the repository features and internal implementations will
change over time. But that's why we have a repository dump/load file
format -- so you can migrate your data from an older repository to a
newer repository.

That's the only difference between Alpha and 1.0: safety. :-)

Yes. cvs2svn is a work already in progress.
