off the top of my head i can't think of anything that would cause that
kind of problem, but you're probably going to have to provide some more
information in order for someone to help.

what operating system? what version of libtool? what version of
autoconf?

what configuration options did you pass to subversion?

are you building with in tree versions of apr/apr-util/neon/bdb or
installed versions?
