The Java binding is the subversion calling interface. All of the subversion functions can be accessed through this. The main goal for this is to have a basic library on top of which one can build a GUI (like WinCVS or LinCVS) or have access from servlets.

About the Java tasks right now: hmmm there isn't to much that is accessible right now. But I guess it would be a good idea to start discussing what a GUI would be like.
