This works fine for both me and Mike, either with ra_local or ra_dav.
The missing object is restored.

Again, we can unix-remove a file or a dir, and 'svn up' restores them
for us, even over dav. We're using revision 82 on both ends of the
network.

Can you give us a hard-core reproduction recipe? If you can give us
an ra_local example for the first problem, that would be great.
ra_dav is fine too, though. For the second problem, it obviously
needs to be ra_dav. In both cases, can you tell us *exactly* which
revision of Subversion you're using on both client and server?
