I'm not really sure how much you actually meant GPL or if you used GPL in the
sense like "a free/open software license".

If you decide to release Coven under GPL, there's gonna be hard to do any
major "cross-fertilization" (as in sharing source code between the projects)
as Subversion is intentionally not using GPL.

That is also a note for your second paragraph. Contributing to Subversion is
not contributing code to a GPL'd project.

Ah, and now, back to where we were! ;-)
