You're on the right track here... we have plans in the works for a
client-side diff "plugin" system. A diff plugin simply receives two
paths, and after that it can do what it wishes. Presumably the
"default" plugin would print CVS-style headers, but you could write
your own to do whatever you wish.

Of course, no such plugin system exists yet. We have much bigger fish
to fry right now. :)
