I would expect the .svnrc files to be partitioned in some fashion.
As for environment variables, SVN_STATUS_FORMAT ought to be sufficient.
Were it named, --status-format, the result would be named
SVN_STATUS_STATUS_FORMAT. Ick. (I am still imagining my option library
here. :-)
