  Something similar to that yes.
  I was just being a bit pedantic really .. I'm assuming that you
 really mean "-n update" when you were saying "update".

  Yeah thats probably true, but if you're just wanting to query
 changes merges just shouldn't happen.

  (On the other side, doing an update should tell you that its
 merged things..)
