What I dislike is hiding information I need to know amongst large
amounts of other information I don't.

If that other info merely carries the message "all is well", it's not
worth it. I don't suffer from shell prompt separation anxiety.

The 'repeat necessary information at the end' strategy addresses my
concern. But I still think you're wussies for wanting feedback spew,
and you'd be happier overall if you got used to its absence.
