It proves on examination that my broadcast note was at least partially the
fault of the SVN list manager. I just tried clicking "reply" on his note (as
opposed to "reply to all") to try to figure out what had happened, and lo
and behold the reply went to the SVN list. When this happens, it usually
means that the list manager has hacked the reply-to field.

IMHO, the list manager should *not* be hacking the reply-to field.

I still apologize for the broadcast, but I don't feel quite so guilty about
it now...
